Manasee and Kim met while working together to transform a national financial program for a major financial institution. They bonded over a passion for building products and services that account for human behavior, work for diverse users, and have meaningful impact. They created Mindshift Designs to bring transformative innovation to organizations seeking to make meaningful change at scale.
Meet the Team

Manasee Desai
Co-Founder and CEO, Design Lead
Manasee Desai is a leading expert in the practice of Behavioral Design for financial services.
Over the last 21 years, Manasee has advised some of the largest financial institutions in the world, including banks, fintechs, governments, non-profits, and microfinance institutions across the U.S, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.
She was a founding member of ideas42, and co-led their Financial Health portfolio for many years. She has been a featured speaker at industry events around the world, worked with leading academics, and authored multiple publications. She also led the team behind the Behavioral Evidence Hub, a portal used by practitioners in over 150 countries.
Manasee has an International MPA from New York University, and a BA from Boston University.

Kim Allman
Co-founder and CEO, Strategy Lead
Kim Allman is a strategist and thought leader with over 20 years of experience developing programs that improve socioeconomic mobility and wealth.
She is a founding leader of Capital One’s community development financial well-being program, where she led the largest philanthropic program at Capital One and provided advisory support and expertise to community partners and lines of business in the area of financial health.
She has worked with non-profits of all sizes to build and implement innovative and impactful financial health programs nationwide.
Kim started her career as an investment funds attorney.
Kim has a bachelor’s degree from Duke University, a JD from Cornell University Law School, and holds a certificate in financial planning from Boston University.
